Renton Art Oasis Juried Exhibition at Wine & Art Block Party
Renton Art Oasis is partnering with the City of Renton for the upcoming Wine & Art Block Party at Legacy Square in downtown Renton on August 22nd from 12:00pm- 8:30pm.
Sip, stroll, and explore local creativity at this lively evening event featuring art experiences, wine tastings, and a fun night out in the heart of downtown Renton.
This call is open to 2D artists only and will be juried. Participation is not guaranteed

Fees & Commission
There is no fee to enter this exhibition, and participation is open to the public. This is a juried exhibition, and acceptance is not guaranteed.
Renton Art Oasis will not take a commission on artwork sales during the exhibition. Artists will be responsible for handling their own sales, taxes, and applicable business requirements.
Business License Requirement
All participating artists who wish to sell artwork must have a valid Renton business license.
You must upload proof of your valid Renton business license with your submission. If proof of licensing is not received and your work is accepted into the exhibition, your artwork will be marked Not for Sale.
Artists may still participate in the exhibition without a business license, but accepted artwork will not be available for purchase.
The license is free for people who don't live in the city limits of Renton or anyone earning less than $4000 in revenue within city limits this year. Please reach out to JKotarski@rentonwa.gov for directions on how to apply for a free license.

Artwork Requirements & Display Guidelines
Eligibility
This exhibition is open to original 2D artwork only.
The following are not accepted:

Photography

Digital art
-
Prints or Giclées
Please read all requirements carefully before submitting.
Framing & Presentation Requirements

All 2D artwork must be either framed or gallery-wrapped with finished edges. White or unfinished edges will not be accepted. If the work is framed, the frame must be included in the submitted image.

Artwork must be ready to hang using secure wire and D-rings. (Sawtooth hangers will not be accepted).

The following frame types will not be accepted: poster frames, sectional frames, metal frames, and glass clip frames.

The maximum artwork size is 36 inches in any direction, including the frame.

Artwork must be reasonably lightweight and safe for temporary installation. Extremely heavy, fragile, or structurally unstable works may be declined at the discretion of the organizers.

All accepted artwork must have a label securely attached to the back containing:

Artists may submit a maximum of 2 artworks.

In the Dimensions section, enter the artwork size as: Height × Width

In the Framed Dimensions section, enter the outside dimensions of the frame as: Height × Width. If you are submitting a gallery wrapped piece, enter 0 x 0.
Digital Image Requirements
All artwork will be juried based on the submitted digital images. Jurying will be conducted online.
Submitted images must:

Include the frame in the photograph

Be a minimum of 1920 pixels on the longest side

Be in focus and photographed straight-on
-
Be free of glare or reflections
Each artwork submission may include up to 3 images total:

1 required full view image (front-facing).

Up to 2 additional detail or alternate angle images.
Additional Policies
Originality
All submitted artwork must be the original concept, design, and execution of the artist. Unauthorized use of copyrighted material, including published photographs or another artist’s work, is prohibited.
No Substitutions
No substitutions will be allowed after submission.
Promotion
By submitting artwork, artists grant Renton Art Oasis permission to use submitted images for promotional purposes including press releases, printed materials, website promotion, online announcements, and social media. Artists will be credited whenever applicable.
Renton Art Oasis reserves the right to refuse artwork that does not meet the stated requirements.

Instructions for artwork delivery will be provided in the acceptance email.
